I suggest:

  • transpose the table (frameworks as rows, benchmarks as columns).
  • allow sorting by columns.
  • Allow collapsing/expanding column groups. By default the geometric mean column would be displayed, while the subcolumns could be expanded and collapsed. Look at this example. The measurements would all be in the same table, but this would avoid missing important categories by not scrolling horizontally

I think this would satisfy several wishes that have been made:

  • Have a table of combined results as a summary (source)
  • Being able to see the order or ranking of libraries in measures other than the geometric mean of the first [sub]table (source)
  • be able to easily and quickly scan all the measurements of the same framework (source)
  • 4th, I would argue that seeing only the 4 columns of geometric means can help users better weight the measurements. Nowadays, by the time a user reaches startup time, they have probably already formed the idea that the first frameworks are the "fastest" because they scrolled over hundreds of green boxes.

If you want you can submit a PR. I'd suggest cloning the webdriver-ts-results directory and develop in that directory such that we can compare the final result with the current results table.

Very good. I'll see if I can find time to do this, but I doubt it will be this first quarter, so if anyone wants to contribute with the implementation it is very welcome
