Swipe starts animation then hangs and returns to page

When I swipe back the page will shift over and then pause for a second. Then it will either return to the same page (not go back) or go back one page. If I two finger swipe again while paused it normally makes it go instantly to the previous page, but if I don't time it right, the pause has ended and it starts a new transition.
