Knulli build version

firefly 2024/11/29 16:19

Your architecture

RG35XX-SP

Issue description

SSH/SCP connections from Windows and MacOS clients with fail with "Server unexpectedly closed network connection." on a dual SDCARD setup with TF port 2 being formatted exfat. The file "dropbear_ed25519_host_key" IS NOT created in "/userdata/system/ssh/" when the connection fails.

Detailed reproduction steps

I installed Knulli on a SDCARD using Rufus. I plugged the SDCARD into my RG35XX-SP TF port 1. I enabled Wifi and connected to network. I can SSH/SCP into device. I inserted a blank exfat formatted SDCARD into TF port 2. I chose SDCARD in TF port 2 in System Settings and rebooted. I enabled Wifi and connected to network. I cannot SSH/SCP into device and get error "Server unexpectedly closed network connection." Of note SMB still works.

Details of any attempts to fix this yourself

Manually placing a previously made "dropbear_ed25519_host_key" in the proper location on TF port 2 SDCARD allows the connection to work as expected.

I installed the earlier alpha build, 20241116. SSH/SCP works with a dual SDCARD setup with TF port 2 SDCARD being formatted exfat. The file "dropbear_ed25519_host_key" IS created in "/userdata/system/ssh/" when connecting.

Details of any modifications you have made to Knulli.

None.
