Issue description

Savestates cannot be loaded from the emulationstation menu when 'incremental save states' are used. This is the default option on a fresh install.

Detailed reproduction steps

I've done a full fresh flash of 2024/11/07 on my RG35XX-H. Started it up for the first time, launched NES 2048. started a game and saved a state using hotkey+west. Quit game using hotkey+start. Long-press on game, choose 'save states', select the new save state, press east to load it. Game starts from the beginning and does not load the save state. The behaviour is exactly the same with other built-in games -- SNES Classic Kong, Sega Megadrive Old Towers, GBA Space Twins. The save state does load correctly if i then use hotkey+north, so the file can be found and is not corrupt.

I've checked all three options for 'incremental savestates'. It works fine for 'do not increment' and 'increment slot'. It's only 'increment per save' that doesn't work.

This was fine on the 2024/07/21 release.

Details of any attempts to fix this yourself

Looked for clues in es_launch*.log

Details of any modifications you have made to Knulli.

This was on a completely fresh install without modifications, and using only the internal SD card.
