I came across with the idea to allow anonymous joining to a group. In this case it would show Anonymous on the group's page, and the group wouldn't show up on the user's profile. We can consider it to be visible to page admins / group owners.

So this feature has been a bit discussed, and the following was proposed: the group owner can set that the member list would only be visible to group members. And with that, the membership wouldn't show up in the user's profile either.

There was some more discussion about this feature.

Because anyone can join an anonymous group, view the members and then leave, an authorized member (the creator) will first have to confirm the request for joining first.
