Pop-up is annoying on Windows

The updater pop-up is extremely annoying on Windows. It steals focus, puts itself in front of all other running applications, and will keep doing that (!) - even if minimized or put in the background. This is extremely user-hostile. Snoozing will not make it go away for long, either.

I get it, updates are important and all that, but they are not that important. In the short run, cutting out the focus-stealing would be a huge step forward. It's fine when the updater pops up in the background and stays there. In the longer run - Windows has a dedicated notification API, I think the updater should use that.
