Shared Blocks und U:Lines
-------------------------
Wenn du zu einem InspIRCd Server linken möchtest musst du eine <uline>
für deinen Defenderserver setzen.
Zum Beispiel:
<uline server="defender.meinnetzwerk.net">
Wenn du zu einem Hybrid Server linken möchtest, brauchst du einen
shared {} block (Äquivalent zu einer U-Line) für deinen Server.
Zum Beispiel:
shared { name = "defender.meinnetzwerk.net"; };
Dies erlaubt dem Defenderserver globale k-lines zu setzen (welche benützt werden sobald
Defender einen Host bannen möchte). Deaktiviere das command rate limiting für den Defenderserver,
oder den "Status" Befehl (siehe unten). Um den geschwünschten Effekt zu erreichen setze ein can_flood
im auth {} block oder erhöhe die Grenzen.
Wenn du zu einem p10-kompatiblen server (zb. ircu) linken möchtest,musst du für alle deine
Server u:lines setzen.
Zum Beispiel:
U:defender.meinnetzwerk.com:Defender:*
Dies erfüllt zwei Zwecke, erstens es erlaubt dem Defender modehacks (zb. für das flood Modul etc)
und Global kills auszuführen, zweitens funktioniert es wie eine Q:Line, die normalen Usern
verbietet den Nicknamen 'Defender' zu benützen.
Auf einem ircd2.10 Server werden glines und globops durch den IRC Defender emuliert,
und ein Restart des Service bewirkt, dass alle emulierten glines gelöscht werden.
Die Server Numerik
------------------
Einige Servertypen verwenden eine (auch bekannt unter dem Namen) 'Server Numerik'.
Diese sind normalerweise bei der Netzwerkadministration des Netzwerks(wo dein Server gelinkt ist)
reserviert. Abhängig von deinem Modul das du gewählt hast musst du den folgenden Wert in deiner
Configdatei definieren:
numeric=<deine reservierte Server Numerik>
Zurzeit verwenden nur drei von vier ServerModulen der Distribution diese Numerik.
Die Formate sind in der folgenden Tabelle angegeben:

Starten des Programms
--------------------
Siehe example Configdatei für die Details der Konfiguration.
Starte das Programm mit "perl defender.pl"
Das Programm läuft im Hintergrund und es betritt automatisch den Raum den du in deiner Configdatei
definiert hast. Bitte sei vorsichtig das dieser Raum nur für opers sein sollte (zb. setze +O),
dass normale Users keinen Zugang zu diesen Befehlen bekommen.
Welche Module sollen verwendet werden
----------------------------
Das Programm ist modular aufgebaut, daher musst du deine gewünschten Module auswählen bevor
das Programm läuft. Es gibt zwei spezielle Modultypen, protocol und log Module. Zumindest ein Modul
der Beiden muss IMMER geladen werden.
Das Protocol Modul stellt die Schnittstelle für das IRC Netzwerk zur Verfügung und das Logging Modul
stellt die Schnittstelle für das Schreiben der Logs (umgeleitet von stdout in eine Datei) bereit.
Sobald du diese zwei Dateien(Module) in deiner Configdatei definiert hast kannst du andere Module
auswählen, siehe zum Beispiel Configdatei. Diese Module führen Scanoperationen bei Usern
aus, sobald sich jene verbinden oder mit dem Service in Kontakt kommen.
Rehashing/Changing Module während des Programmbetriebs
-------------------------------------
Solange das Programm läuft kannst du die Configdatei editieren und dann einen 'entfernten rehash' ausführen
( mit /rehash defender.*) Damit werden die Konfigurationsdateien neu eingelesen. Wenn du irgendwelche
Module aus deiner Konfiguration entfernt hast werden diese nicht mehr geladen und wenn du Module
hinzugefügt hast werden diese geladen. Der Rest der nicht verändert wurde wird reinitialisiert.
Wenn deine Server Software keinen 'entfernten rehash' unterstützt kannst du dies über den Bot
Kontrolraum tun mit:
botnick rehash
hat denselben Effekt wie ein /rehash Befehl bei jenen Servern
die einen 'entfernten rehash' unterstützen.
Load Reihenfolge
----------
Wie bei den meisten modular aufgebauten Programmen, ist die Loadanordnung deiner Module wichtig.
Jedes Modul im IRC Defender besteht aus Abhängigkeiten und Funktionen. Module können auf einer
sicheren und stabilen Art und Weise gegenseitig voneinander abhängig sein. Es hängt von dir ab
welche Module du in welcher Reihenfolge laden möchtest um zb. keine Konflikte zu erzeugen oder
Module mehrfach zu laden. Zum Beispiel wenn ein Modul A abhängig ist von einem Modul B musst du
garantieren, dass Modul B vor dem Modul A in deiner modules= Line in deiner Configdatei definiert ist.
In der Configdatei (modules= Line) werden die angegebenen Module von links nach rechts geladen.
Anzeige der geladenen Module
----------------------
Zum Anzeigen aller geladenen Module und der Programmlaufzeit verwende einfach den Befehl:
status
in deinem Kontrollraum.
Für einen detaillierteren Überblick tippe:
status all
Wenn du nur eine Information über ein bestimmtes Modul haben möchtest tippe:
status [module-name]
module-name ist der Name des geladenen Moduls.
Inkludierte Module
================
Die folgenden Module sind in der Basisdistribution inkludiert:
fyle
----
Dieses Modul scannt nach anatoly/fyle Dronen, das sind zum Beispiel Bots mit Nicks wie `|\{{]
welche Räume mit einer großen Useranzahl betreten um Menschen zu finden und sie mit gefährlichen
urls zu belästigen. Es wird nach Heuristik gebannt zb. virus gecos, Nick und Ident Kombinationen und
anderem Gefährlichen. Der paranoia= Wert in der Configdatei gibt an, wie sensibel es sein soll.
Es wird SEHR empfohlen dies auf den voreingestellten Wert von 7 zu lassen.
Unterstützte Befehle:
fyle scan [nick] [ident] [gecos]
Beachte! Um dieses Modul zu benützen brauchst du die words.txt Datei

killchan
--------
Das killchan Modul verbietet Usern den Zugang zu bestimmten Kanälen. Um das killchan Modul zu
benützen verwende folgende Befehle in deinem Kontrolraum:
killchan add [channel] [reason]
killchan list
killchan del [channel]
Wenn ein Nicht-Oper einen verbotenen Raum betritt, wird er temporär G-Lined(Standard für 30 Minuten).
Wenn ein Oper einen verbotenen Raum betritt wird er nur gewarnt.
TIP: Es ist eine gute Idee ein killchan auf den Defenderkontrollraum zu setzen wenn dein ircd nur
die grundlegenden Sicherheitsfunktionen wie +i, +s and +k besitzt. Wenn ein User den Raum betritt,
oder durch Zufall durch einen Oper eingeladen wird (oder zweckmäßig) oder ein User den Raumschlüssel
besitzt wird er durch killchan sobald er den Raum betritt G-Lined solange die Opers noch Zugang zum
Pseudoclient erhalten.
Dies schützt auch den Raum solange IRC Defender läuft, auch wenn zum Beispiel durch services,
GNUWorld die Raumsicherheit in deinem Kontrollraum nicht mehr verfügbar ist aufgrund eines Dos oder
Netsplits. Solange ein Pseudoclient verfügbar ist wird er IMMER unzugänglich für Nicht-Opers sein.
message
-------
Dieses einfache Modul antwortet mit einer Servernotiz sobald dem Defender eine Nachricht gesendet
wird, um fragende User auf deinen Supportkanal für Hilfe hinzuweisen.
fizzer
------
Dieses Modul eliminiert fizzer Dronen. Es hat keine Konfigurationsoptionen oder Befehle.
re_notice
---------
Dieses Modul erlaubt dir eine ServerNotiz mit einem regulären Muster(Ausdruck) an alle User
deines Netzwerks zu senden. Zum Beispiel könntest du eine Nachricht an alle AOL User senden,
oder an alle User aus Finnland, oder an alle User mit bestimmten Idents (oder an alle User die in
ihren Idents eine Nummer haben, es gibt viele Möglichkeiten)
Das Modul unterstützt einen Befehl:
re_notice [regexp] [message]
Der reguläre Ausdruck ist nicht automatisch verankert, bitte verwende ^ und $ zum verankern deines
regulären Ausdrucks. (Wenn du dir bei der Syntax der regulären Ausdrücke nicht sicher bist kann dir
google weiterhelfen)
nickflood
---------
Dieses Modul erkennt Nickfloods. Du musst einen Wert in deiner Configdatei setzen zb.
nickflood_limit=5
Dies /KILL alle User die mehr als 5 Nickwechsel in 5 Sekunden ausführen.
Wenn ein User geKILLt wurde wird eine Nachricht an deinen Kontrollraum gesendet.
flood
-----
Dieses Modul verhindert große Botnet Floods in deinen Räumen deines Netzwerks.
Es stellt eine Ebene des Schutzes zur Verfügung den ein Raum nicht zufällig deaktivieren kann.
(es kann irgendeine Sperre aufheben die durch chanserv modelocks gesetzt wurden)
Dieses Modul besteht aus drei Werte und einem Interval. Sie können wie folgend gesetzt werden:
flood_log=5
flood_globops=10
flood_lock=15
flood_interval=5
Der erste Wert legt fest wieviele joins und parts pro Kanal stattfinden.
Wenn ein Raum soviele joins und parts hat wird es im "home" Raum des Defender geloggt.
Zum Bespiel:
<Defender> Channel #test has had 6 joins/parts in the past 5 seconds, 10 triggers oper alert.
Der zweite Wert legt fest, dass sobald dieser Grenzwert erreichet ist eine GLOBOPS Nachricht gesendet wird.
Der dritte Wert (wenn dieser erreicht wird) bewirkt das der Raum mit den Raummodes +miCKc gesperrt
wird zum Schutz vor weiteren Floods. Er wird nach 1 Minute wieder aufgehoben.
Der vierte Wert ist das 'Interval', zum Beispiel wenn dies auf 5 gesetzt wird funktionieren
alle (Zeit)Zähler bei X Joins/5 Sekunden.
secureoper
----------
Dieses Modul beobachtet /oper Ereignisse. Es läuft nur wenn der defender mit einem Serverprotokoll
läuft und nicht wenn der Defender selbst ein Oper Client ist. Der Server muß auf deinem Netzwerk
auch als U:Line gesetzt sein sodas er Clients auch deopern kann. Du musst eine Liste mit Nicknamen
(mit regulären Ausdrücken) in der opernicks.conf Datei (im Config Verzeichnis) definieren,
getrennt durch newlines. Zum Beispiel, \[Brain\] Beachte die Sonderzeichen [ and \!).
Jeder User der sich opern möchte wird überprüft. Steht dieser Nickname nicht in der Configdatei,
wird er vom Service deopert.
Dies stellt eine zusätzliche Sicherheit zur Verfügung gegen:
o User die für sich selber versuchen o:lines zu setzen (z.b bei Probelinks)
o Admins die versuchen lokalen operstatus für ihre Freunde zu setzen
o Eingrenzung von boxes wo o:lines durch Eindringlinge gesetzt werden.
etc etc...
Du magst vielleicht denken das diese Situationen durch dein Auswahlverfahren (der opers)
nicht mehr passieren, aber warum dieses Risiko eingehen? :-)
cgiirc
------
Diese Modul blockt cgi:irc User die versuchen Zugang zu deinem Netzwerk über eine unauthorisierte
Seite zu bekommen.
Seit der Version 1.4.0 unterstützt dieses Modul eine Liste von authorisierten CGI:IRC Seiten.
Jede wird durch einen regulären Ausdruck dargestellt die den Hostnamen der Seiten entsprechen.
Bearbeite die cgiirc.conf Datei und setze eine Liste von regulären Ausdrücken (eine pro Zeile) ein,
die den Hostnamen entsprechen denen es erlaubt ist CGI:IRC zu benützen.
Seit Version v1.3.6 setzt dieses Modul eine zeitlich begrenzte (10 Minuten) G-Line wenn
ein cgi:irc Client entdeckt wird, um zu verhindern, dass der Server nicht zu belastet und der
Kontollraum nicht zugespammt wird.
regexp_akill
------------
Dieses Modul erlaubt dir mit regulären Ausdrücken akills auf User zu setzen, auf den
Nicknamen, den Ident, Host und gecos. Bitte sehe dir die Beispiele der Moduldatei an.
Unterstützte Befehle: regexp_akill add [hostmask] [reason]
regexp_akill del [hostmask]
regexp_akill list
Seit Version v.1.3.6 setzt dieses Modul eine zeitlich begrenzte (10 Minuten) G-Line sobald
ein gebannter Nickname, Hostname oder GECOS entdeckt wird, um zu verhindern, dass der Server
nicht zu belastet und der Kontrollraum nicht zugespammt wird.
version
-------
Dieses Modul erfüllt zwei Zwecke. Erstens es verwaltet eine schwarze Liste von Versionen
um schwarzgelistete Clientversionen zu stoppen, die versuchen sich zu deinem Netzwerk zu verbinden.
Du kannst dir in deinem Datenverzeichnis eine durch tabs getrennte Datei anlegen.
Folgendes Beispielformat :
regexp G ban-reason
regexp2 G ban-reason2
regexp3 W warning-1
Das erste Feld ist ein regulärer Ausdruck. Wenn dieser reguläre Ausdruck der Version eines Clients
entspricht (zb."mirc.+6\..+") wird ein Befehl ausgeführt. Der Befehl wird durch das zweite Feld
dargestellt. Dies ist entweder ein G oder ein W.
Wenn du in diesem Feld ein G einstellst, setzt das Modul eine G-Line auf den User.
Der dritte Parameter ist der Grund für den Bann.
Wenn du in diesem Feld ein W einstellst warnt das Modul den User via PRIVMSG.
Der dritte Parameter ist der Text der Warnmeldung.

Dieses Modul unterstützt auch ein einfache Überprüfung von Clientversionen du kannst die Anzahl
der User bestimmen die zb. mIRC, x-chat oder irssi verwenden.
Seit Version v1.3.6 setzt dieses Modul eine zeitlich begrenzte G-Line ( 10 Minuten ) wenn
eine gebannte Version entdeckt wird, um zu verhindern, dass der Server nicht zu belastet
und der Kontrollraum nicht zugespammt wird.
conn_average
------------
Dieses Modul überwacht die Anzahl der Clientverbindungen pro Minute
auf allen Servern. Wird diese Anzahl, die der Administrator definiert hat überschritten
wird eine Warnung via GLOBOPS gesendet. Du musst folgenden Wert in deine defender.conf hinzufügen:
conn_average_max=100
Dieser Wert von 100 zeigt an, dass wenn die Anzahl der Clientverbindungen des ganzen Netzwerks
pro Minute über 100 ist, sollte eine GLOBOPS Nachricht gesendet werden.
spammage
--------
Das Spammage Modul ist neu in Version 1.4.x. Es kann wiederholende Zeilen in einem Raum entdecken
egal ob diese Zeilen von seperaten Clients oder nur von einem Client kommen. Einmal ausgelöst,
werden alle Clients die diese Zeile wiederholen für 10 Minuten G-lined.
Weil das ressourceintensiv ist muss ein Raum mit dem 'monitor' Befehl
im Kontrollraum des Defender genau angegeben werden.
Folgende Befehle sind gültig:
spammage monitor [#channel] [threshold] [reason]
spammage unmonitor [#channel]
Wenn ein Raum überwacht wird, muss sich eine Zeile [threshold] wiederholen bevor der Schutz aktiviert
wird. Wenn dieser Schutz einmal aktiviert ist und ein User diese Zeile als PRIVMSG oder NOTICE
wiederholt wird er mit dem gegebenen Grund glined.
Jeder User der eine andere Zeile tippt setzt den Spam Zähler auf Null.
Beachte das dieses Modul vorallem effektiv gegen bestimmte Typen von Spambots wirksam ist,
aber empfindlich gegen andere Typen.
Verwende dieses Modul bei einem auffälligen Verhalten (z.b wenn alle Bots die gleiche Phrase
verwenden).
