Goo.gl URL shortener is being shut down (https://developers.googleblog.com/2018/03/transitioning-google-url-shortener.html) and so should no longer be used in Archetype. What to replace it with is open to discussion.

Thanks for raising that Issue Peter. I think bitly is free and well established, that could be an option.
