Single Entry View - Unordered list format adds empty <li> in between

Steps to reproduce -
Select format for single entries (single entry view) - unordered list.
Go to the page where the [directory] shortcode is added.
Go to single entry page.

Expected result
The fields in the entry should appear in <li> tags.

Actual result
Empty <li> tags occur in between the view.
