This is a list of minimal (non invasive) mods i recommend merging in K-Mod. The list will grow as i spot new ones:

Events With Images - http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=318487
this will just add flavor to the events by adding specific images to every event. Karadoc you can just incorporate the base mod and let the users download the images separately (i think it's something like 18mb, i can be wrong) and install them in the k-mod folder, in order to preserve the small k-mod download size.

Culturally Linked Starts - http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=290694
this tiny mod just allows similiar-culture empires to start closer on the map. I find it very nice expecially in multiplayer, when i use romans and my friend greeks, we know we are probably going to start in the same continent. In single player it gives a big boost to immersion, even if it's a minimal addition. Karadoc you can disable its option in the game creation window and enable the mod by default, in order to make minimal changes to the menus (i know you hate that :P).

Show Hidden Attitude - http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=335966
i love to know why AIs hates or loves me, i enjoy reading the attitude list, and more details won't break anything :D.

Another one:

Advanced Diplomacy - http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=447915
this is probably not minimal, so i suggest to only take some features from it, the ones you think are worth it.
