The game did install and boot sucessfully, but it's running rotated, like an arcade vertical game!
I know retroarch games have some sort of behind the scene rotation going on, that's why the retroarch in screen messages and the screenshots are all rotated. But i assumed the installation of this would take that in consideration and rotate this game as well, or else have some sort of option to handle that. But im not seeing any rotate screen option anywhere, i tried changing the SDL2 used and it just breaks things... any clues?

Hey, from what I understand, it has to do with the device itself. Most anbernic devices, by default, have a rotated display. Your approach was right, you have to use a version of SDL2 compiled for the rotated screen. What I suspect is that portmaster, which targets the cfw, assumes the games don't have to do any rotating because the cfw handles it. For stock it may be different. I'll try to see if I can source the sdl2 that shipped with the stock OS games.
