rmapi stopped working #312
Comments
I have the same problem (also my remarkable keeps trying to download about 200 deleted files I don't have space for.). Have you made any progress on this front? |

i solved the deleted files problem (for the time being) and thought I was in contact with the developers but I'm just talking to support staff who want me to think the problem is on my end not their's. I think the new ability to make check marks and whatever on documents has broken their file system (from our perspective). I'm trying to convince remarkable to roll back to the old cloud architecture, but I doubt their reasonableness. They told me to put it in the wish column on their website... deleted solution involved uncoupling all devices, reinstalling one on my computer and my phone and noticing that files listed in my.remarkable cloud are now completely decoupled from the files on my devices. Its a non solution, but whatever... has anyone tried to understand their new file structure? Should we just yell at them and hope they change it back? |
https://support.remarkable.com/s/contactsupport/wishes-and-ideas i don't really know what to suggest, but they suggest not using rmapi because it doesn't work well with their dumb annotation formatting. https://support.remarkable.com/s/article/Tech-bulletins I'm quite upset that their solution to them breaking things that were working is to just stop using the community tools that they broke... If you know of a good thing to "wish" for maybe if enough of us send it in... |
I filed the following on the feedback form: Case summarySubject:CLI tools need an API Description:I've been an extremely happy user of rmapi but it does no longer work. I'd really like a CLI tool on Linux, helps me tremendously. Perhaps the best is to provide A basic cloud API, then the community can develop any CLI to work with the Remarkable. |
I second that, thank you. |
Anyone hear back from anyone? |
rmapi started working again. ReMarkable's Cloud system must have been restored to its original state by the company. |
After the last upgrade of reMarkable, the latest version of rmapi produces this message on all platforms (even on registering rmapi as a desktop app):
main.go:77: failed to build documents tree, last error: wrong schema
PS The same happens if it is built from source as well.
