✨ Can we have an easy way to switch between ‘Search’ and ‘Discover’ from the Home screen

Hi Jurial!

Hope you’ve been well!

The latest update looks phenomenal!! Thank you so much!

Since we now have the option again to add search & options in the home screen (thank you!), would it be possible to add a button beside the search bar to switch to the ‘Discover’ hub? Or just bring out that special ‘Filter’ menu that can switch between ‘Discover’ and ‘Search’ modes?

And maybe the skin remembers the previously used mode so when you scroll up from the Home Screen, you land at ‘Discover’

Why is this feature needed? Please justify and explain.

I like the ‘Discover’ hub more than the ‘Search’ hub and feel it offers so much more functionality.
It’d be great to be able to reach it directly from the Home Screen.

I did try it out but it is a bit clumsy to navigate with how the discover window works.

The navigation gets a bit confusing if you overshoot and accidentally press up too many times because you can't simply press the opposite direction to go back from discover.

And button in search is also awkward because you have to scroll through the edit control (and whatever is typed in there) first to get to the other side.

Damn you're right! Didn't think about all the intricacies....
I'll have to think a bit harder and get back to you lol.
But I hope we can come up with something because I LOVE the Discover hub! The filters are a game changer!

Yeah there shouldn't be any difference in behaviour between the different minimised modes now (other than the obvious of it hiding the menu or moving it to top/bottom of course).

The only other real change it makes is if the menu is minimised then pressing left wraps on the widget (vs loop if not minimised).

You will get slightly different behaviour if it is set to expand labels though, because the expand is a separate window and so won't switch widget groups for you.

Yeah makes sense. I have also edited the Custom_1172_Dialog_SideMenu file to ActivateWindow(1105) so the behaviour remains consistent throughout the skin.
I have the expand labels turned off for now and minimized set to 'Always'. Also enabled 'Search & Options' so scrolling up from both the side icons and the widgets takes me to the Discover hub.

Are you finding this works okay and isn't too confusing? Because I can add an option for it without too much trouble -- I only hesitated because I thought it would be confusing in terms of navigation

And yes I have been using my jerry rigged code for a couple days and it's been great! But now this should be awesome!!
