Okay this is a really interesting idea. I like it! Rather than use custom submenus, I think the best way to do it would be to have a toggle for shortcuts which is "Open path in dialog" and then it simply opens the path assigned to the shortcut in the a dialog similar to the favourites/select dialog. That would let you use any node or plugin path or library or playlist etc. Then you can make submenu type nodes using library node editor or TMDbHelper or whatever. Unrelated side question -- Is the feature requests template not working for you? I noticed a lot of feature requests being made are not using the template and are just plain text. I'm wondering if the template is simply not not working on some devices or if everyone is deliberately circumventing it to make my life miserable! (j/k but it does make it more difficult for me to keep track of requests when the template isn't used - it's there for a reason). |

Awesome!!! thank you 😁😁
This will open new layers of customization, looking forward to seeing how you'll implement it
😬 The feature request template works... I just felt it was easier to type it straightforwardly. I didn't realize it would cause inconvenience... apologies |

Nicely done, sir 🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡 Love that the option only shows where it is eligible |

Would it be possible to add multiple actions to one item... i.e., multiple actions for a submenu item or category item... clicking on it will open a dialog with a list of all the actions you set... dialog will look similar to the kodi 21 favorites window (window 1160)
This will work similar to how the experimental custom submenu in widgets works, except it'll be for either categories or submenus.... To go even further, it can also work on custom submenus... which will then make it seem like a folder.
I know there are alternatives to achieve this, like super favorites or auto widget, but they open in library... would prefer dialog and would rather it was integrated in the skin like with the custom submenus... Just a suggestion: I'm not too sure how easy or complicated it may be...
