Feature description

Feature request for home menus to hide when not in use. I love the home menus, very useful. But I also love a minimalist look. Please, would it be possible to allow for the home menus to be hidden when not in use?

Why is this feature needed? Please justify and explain.

You already can minimise the menu.

Skin Settings > Menus > Side menu > Minimise (set to Home+Hubs+Library+Settings to always minimise)

Then you will only see a menu button to click to expand the menu.

Sadly, this does not work. When home is added to be minimized, the menu options are just replaced.

I've included photos that demonstrate the settings and how they effect the menu.

The first one just shows the home menu items I want, with corresponding settings, the ones that would be great if slide to hidden when not in use. As you can see, when home is included in minimise it is replaced a seperate set of menu items. I've tried extensively to remove this second set, unsuccessfully.

For what I've found, it's an either or scenario. Less than ideal if the intention was to have a home menu that should be hidden when not in use.

I'm hoping that it would be possible to have the entire home menu on the side slide away to be hidden, when not in use, as a optional feature. No buttons, just vanished, until navigate left to view it again.

So you just want a massive blank space on the left?

That will look bad.

I've used no icon to trick it to see what it looks like with a blank space. It's not too bad, but I see what you mean.

However, what I'm asking is if the rest of the screen shifts along with it, when the menu is not in use, so there is no blank space when the home menu slides away, then it would look fantastic!

Less is more!

That would need a fairly big redesign to ensure proper spacing when moved over.
