What do you mean by hubs? Hubs are separate windows so it is impossible for their widgets to load until you open that window by clicking the shortcut in the side menu. Unless you are using the wrong terminology and mean categories? Or you are using classic mode and thinking the widget groups are hubs (they're not). Skin has no control over the loading process. Kodi loads all containers that are present in the window in the order they appear in the code. So first category widgets will load before second category since first category is above second in the code - but beyond that the skin has no control over this process. Every widget you add to the home screen will be loaded everytime. The only way to delay loading is to use stacked widgets or adaptive submenu widgets using dynamic lists. Or to use proper hub windows (ie not classic mode - or at least limit your usage of home screen widgets to only one or two per group and then place the rest inside a hub window that you click to open). |

For example I have the home, movies and TV shows menu items. I only have 1 widget on the home menu item and around 10 widgets in each of the movie and TV shows menus. On the arctic fuse version v0.3.25 if hover over movies or TV show menu items the widgets don't actually load untill I click on one of these menu items. However on the most recent update these menu items load widgets without me clicking these menu items. (Soon as I load Kodi it loads all the widgets from every menu item) I did use the classic version on v0.3.25 and was trying to set it up the same way. Im using v0.4.14. I just read your 2nd reply and double checked the settings and just seen classic mode option and the edit hub widgets option I think this is where I needed to added my widgets to get it to function like before. Sorry to have wasted your time and thanks very much for pointing that out. |

Ok just added some widgets to the actual hub this time and does exactly what's wanted thank you very much. Just two more questions. When entering a hub would it be possible to make it focus on the first item within a hub rather than back to the home menu item? And when hovering on the side menu items is it possible to make the side menu expand so can see the text of the menu items rather than just the icons. Cheers |

Hey Jurial,
I have just got round to doing the most recent update.
I was just adding all my widgets back within the menus then noticed they all load on Kodi start up. Previously widgets within hubs would only load when I went into that specific hub menu. I have alot of widgets within some of the hubs and think this could be having a negative impact on start up performance. So my question is am I creating my hubs correctly and will having it set up like this have a negative effect compared to the previous version due to all the widgets loading at once.
Cheers
SJ
