It is not possible to type text on columns of type calendar.
I would be great to have it supported, moreover if we want to type formula.
Currently copy/past works well on those cells with date value, not with formula copy/past
Yes, the current calendar plugin only handle a raw date string "YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS". To accept formulas, the format of the raw should be a number, which currently you can archieve by using a type: text, format: 'any format'. But, this approach does not open a calendar picker when you are editing the cell.
I will leave this open as a future request, which will be address in next releases.
