workspace for multipart project with multiple "layouts"

more complex workspace with multiple parts and optimized refresh

I have an vague idea based on my own use case and how I mostly use OpenJSCAD.

• multiple objects each in own file (good for organizing code and partial recalculation)
• at least two levels of parameters (global, and part specific)
• layouts that use one or more copies of said objects (again nice place to optimize performance)
  • changing an object file/script will only require recalculation for that object and update the view
  • limits can be put here like
    • allowing only transformations: move, rotate, maybe scale
    • change color or opacity

different views ideas that the developer would create that do not require to recalculate the model

• single object (while making the said object to be used in layouts)
• assembled parts
• for printing parts placed neatly and oriented for 3d print
• dev view to test if parts fit together
• assembly animation view with simple moves to explain the assembly

these views would/should be limited use operations that are fast

• translate
• scale
• rotate
• color change
• multiple instances of same part
• ...
