Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced cloud service engineer/operator to join our infrastructure team at our global HQ in Xinyi District., Taipei City.

As an DevOps engineer, you will be part of a infrastructure team. This team includes infrastructure system engineers and cloud system operators. We aim to provide high quality system operations and infrastructure system/automation solutions/implementations.

You will have opportunities to co-work with engineers with talent, and manage and operate more than several hundreds of cloud servers on a daily basis. You must have ability to learn software and cloud technology in an English speaking workplace and document it.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Maintain existing cloud servers in different farms.
2. Develop software for service monitor/alert.
3. Deploy new services/components on cloud servers.
4. Co-work with member of infrastructure team to ensure service availability.
5. Survey new cloud solution.
6. Generate document for operation/development sharing and implementation, and keep maintain it to keep in-sync with latest implementation.

Qualifications

1. At least 2 years of work experience as a software/system engineer.
2. Bachelor degree or above in computer engineering/computer science or related fields.
3. Familiar Linux system administration.
4. Familiar with Shell Script and at least 1 script language.
5. Ability to quick response to production service issues.
6. Ability to communicate his/her design with other engineers.
7. Fluent in English.
8. Required Experience and Skills:

• Linux system administration
• Shell Script programming
• IaaS/PaaS management and operation experiences
• Python2 development

1. Preferred Skills:

• Application deployment and configuration management design and implement (e.g., Puppet, Ansible, Saltstack)
• NoSQL database management (e.g., backup, restore)
• Experience on network management
• IaaS/PaaS cost estimation and architecture design
• Site reliability/availability management
