global SEF system: default setting for all components

I suggest adding a global SEF setting to @joomla for all components.

Firstly, this assumes that all components will be able to use this setting by default, and secondly, 3rd party components will be able to hook into this setting for their components (when 3rd party component developers update their components to be compatible with the global SEF setting).

I suggest adding these 2 settings to the SEF default setting:

1. use of rel="canonical"

• for all website links
• for all links of "default components"
• for selected components (including selected 3rd party components)
• feature is disabled

2. automatic redirection from non-SEF links to SEF links.

• for all website links
• for all links of "default components"
• for selected components (including selected 3rd party components)
• feature is disabled

These settings could be added to System - SEF plugin.
Starting with Joomla 6 or Joomla 7, this could become a mandatory requirement for adding a component to the JED.

⚠️Ridding @google search of duplicate pages will help fight climate change because Google will need less manufacturing capacity to crawl and store information about web links.
This setting should be included in Joomla out of the box.
