All my emails to jjrobots have been ignored so far.

Hi Steffen

I am experiencing the same problem.

What a shame!?

The link http://ibbapp.jjrobots.com is not accessible , and you cannot buy any of the jjRobots kits from their online store anymore.

It looks like the whole site is abandoned without any notice.

I purchased 3 of their iBoardbots which no longer work now.

I don't have one anymore, but i remember everything going through their servers.
It will make it harder to make an emulator of some sort without knowing what traffic was there to begin with.
Your best chance would be to get the code from the microcontroller and see what's happening there.

Wasn't it an Arduino? If anyone can dump the code somewhere i could always take a look.

[edit]
Oh wait, the code is available in this GitHub already, so no need to dump it.
Given it's the latest version, that is.

[edit 2]
After taking a look at the code and documentation, it should be quite easy to create a replacement tool.
In the first few lines of the configuration, you can modify the server URL to a new one of choice.
This enables the board to retrieve commands from a different server.

The documentation and code explain what the server should minimally do to work.
Probably would be doable in a weekend with a bit of tinkering, given you have an iBoardbot to test with.
The new code can be flashed with the standard Arduino IDE. (Free software)

Thank you Vieze for your prompt response and review of the code.

I will take a look at the code myself and see if I can start my own iBoardbot server. I will post the results if successful.

Cheers

This will probably be the only permanently working solution. I.e. you build a code that can be put on a local web server and then you only need to redirect the URL in the arduino code.

One more thing would be important for me. I control the iBaord via the API from my home automation. That would be important to me that the API calls, as they are documented by JJrobots, work again.

That would be wonderful and many thanks already.

I can support you with testing.

I'm experiencing the same problem and the same radio silence from JJRobot crew, really disappointing. Does anyone know if the server code is available anywhere? @MajdiQahtani?

Hi, do you know the new server URL?

Ive been working on an API re-implementation since I had a board that became useless once their API went down.

It's work in progress, but it can draw SVGs and has a HTTP API to send it commands.
