Integrate with Tasks to give web clippings a created date

Here's my problem/use case:
When doing weekly reviews, I want to see a list of all the clippings I made during the last week so I can either read them during the review or set a due date for later.

Currently, it seems like the clipper template supports creating items that are tasks, but those tasks are not getting a created date. For example, I can't create a date filter for clippings created in the last week because there is no created date.

For context, my template is:

- [ ] [{{title}}]({{url}}) {{tags}}

I verified the current state by creating a filtered view of tasks with no created date that matched the tags added by my template and only those tasks (clips) show up:

This is no longer relevant. It seems I was unable to get this functionality because of a couple things happening at the same time.

1. My template file was missing a new line after it, which seems to have caused the Tasks plugin to not recognize the template as a task, and so was not generating a created date (bug filed: Bug: Clipper overwrites previous clipping with most recent clipping if there's no new line in your template file #41)
2. My Tasks settings had the automatically add a created date setting turned off.
