Most configurations are not working in Lazygit WSL OR if Lazygit is launched in Windows Console

For example, here's my config file where I have commented on the lines that do not work:

My guess would be that you are using the wrong config file location. You don't have to guess where the config file goes, press 1 e in lazygit to open it.

Also, note that currently you have to quit and restart lazygit in order for config changes to take effect. (This is going to change soon.)

I am using the correct config. The reason I know that is because some of the options (as commented in the config above) work. For example, the branch colors work. The quit on top level return works. If I remove those lines from the config and restart lazygit, I see the colors disappear which tells me I am using the correct configuration.

I also opened this configuration by pressing 1 o (1 e has an issue where it attempts to open vim through windows command on WSL for some reason and fails to open Vim - but o works)

OK, sorry for guessing wrong then. In that case I have no idea how to explain what you are seeing, sorry. From the version info you posted in that other bug report, it looks like lazygit thinks it's running on windows, which would explain why custom pagers don't work (they are not supported on Windows). But it doesn't explain why many of those simpler options don't work.

Unfortunately I don't have WSL on my Windows box to investigate myself.

No problem. I'll keep at it to see why some options don't work. Is there developer-only logs I can turn on to help find out what the issue might be?

I also found that showGraph: always does not work but showWholeGraph: true works.
