Is it possible to have Flood mark RSS entries as seen to prevent fetching past items when adding a new feed?

Is it possible to have Flood mark RSS entries as seen to prevent fetching them? When I add a new feed there are times when I do not want Flood to fetch existing (past) entries and instead limit itself to future items. Is this possible or do I have to wait for Flood to add all items once and then do a manual removal?
