[JENKINS-54520] Abort job won't abort publish-over-cifs-plugin step

Publish Over CIFS works, but if I try to abort a build during the Publish Over CIFS step, nothing happens. I have to wait for the publish to complete.

I wish that the publish step aborted when the job was aborted

I was able to reproduce this when I accidentially set my WINS server to the address of my DNS server.  Apparently there may be a problem within the WINS resolution timeout.
