"Automatically update route" feature should update based on last item collected

When I have the "automatically update route" option turned on with custom coords to start at, I would like the route to be updated based on the item that was last collected. Otherwise I have to keep updating the coordinates to start the route from which makes the feature seem less useful.

Perhaps there should be another option to use in conjunction that allows you to choose whether or not the route should start from the item last collected?

Or another option could be that you can right click on a point on the map and click an option that says "Generate route from this location".
