Suggesting that the Badge include an initial warning not to connect the TM-AC1900 to the Internet.

I got two TM-AC1900s from T-Mobile. One already has the locked firmware version 3199. The other was an older version that had the SSH feature available. While I was messing around, I plugged the router into my working router. Within a few minutes, I noticed that it was going through a reboot. It had upgraded itself to the locked 3199! Grr...
