What is CSS?

  • Stands for Cascading Style Sheets
  • CSS allows you to control how HTML elements look in the browser
  • CSS can change color, size, create layouts, and can change effects e.g. animation

How to add CSS

  • Three ways to insert CSS
    • External CSS
      • Can change the look of an entire webiste by changing one file
    • Internal CSS
      • Can be used if a single page of HTML has a unique style
    • Inline CSS
      • Can be used to applye a style for a single element

CSS Color

  • The color property specifies the color of the text
  • Use of the background color and the text color is what makes it easy to read
