Define Event and Discipline definitions

In section 1.3.2, it says

This can be done on a per-event (= per-discipline) basis.

But, I don't believe that these 2 terms are synonymous, making the = per-discipline incorrect.

Neither Event nor Discipline are defined in section 1d Definitions.
They should be added to 1d Definitions, and all uses of these terms should be reviewed for accuracy.
