We use a convention also used by the Backblaze web application that creates .bzEmpty 0KB files as directory placeholders as the B2 object storage has no concept of folders. When only a common prefix is found because of a file named like folder/file but no file folder/.bzEmpty is found, we assume the the folder has been deleted and files are no longer displayed by default. Using Cyberduck, the folder will show when you choose View → Show Hidden Files in Cyberduck.

As a workaround to always display the folder, navigate into the folder and manually create the missing directory placeholder file .bzEmpty by choosing File → New File… in Cyberduck.
