This is the developer's policy with respect to data collection, use of data collected and the security of the collected data when you utilize the services of Our software and the choices you have associated with that data. By utilizing the software you accept to adhere to the terms and conditions of this Policy statement. This Policy applies solely to our software(FOSS Browser) and the developer is not responsible for the content or privacy practices on any third party app not operated by the developer to which this software links or that links to this software.
FOSS Browser software requires certain functionalities and permissions to be enabled to ensure smooth operation when it's services are utilized, however, none of these technicalities explicitly allow or give the developer access to your personal or private information.
For the software to function efficiently the following permissions are required:
- location (disabled by default)
- camera (WebRTC support: for example video conferences)
- microphone (WebRTC support: for example audio conferences)
- storage (to make and restore backups)
- sensors (detect screen orientation/UI mode)
- internet access (Yeah, it's internet browser)
These permissions can be disabled if you don't require the service they provide.
FOSS browser has the capabilities of collecting your location details to access your approximate location(network-based) and even your precise location(GPS and network-based). This is only possible if you enable location permission. The developer doesn't have access to this information, it is only utilized within the premise of the software.
FOSS Browser doesn't collect any data. FOSS Browser isn't responsible for any data collected by opened websites.
The security of your data is important but no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, therefore the developer doesn't guarantee its absolute security.
FOSS browser does not require the services of third parties. It is designed to function independently as a browser needing only the permissions as stated earlier above to function efficiently. Links from other third-party service providers can however, be opened using FOSS browser.
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time as the functionalities of the software are further developed and improved and may likely contain disparities that will nullify this current policy.
FOSS browser is developed in good faith for general use. The developer will not in any way be liable or shouldn't be held accountable for any losses and/or damages in connection with the use of the software.
