Seems that launch4j is broken in some manner:

[ERROR] Failed to execute goal com.akathist.maven.plugins.launch4j:launch4j-maven-plugin:1.5.2:launch4j (l4j-viewer-gui) on project io7m-jspatial-examples-swing: Failed to build the executable; please verify your configuration. net.sf.launch4j.ExecException: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "/home/someone/.m2/repository/com/akathist/maven/plugins/launch4j/launch4j-maven-plugin/1.5.2/launch4j-maven-plugin-1.5.2-workdir-linux/bin/windres": error=2, No such file or directory -> [Help 1]

Is there a better alternative to launch4j anywhere?
