Problem

Cross-posting internetarchive/bookreader#1327

I feel this issue is super important to OL for iPad users so don't want it to get lost in the somewhat less active bookreader repo.

However, if that's now how this should work feel free to close this.

I think tracking this on the bookreader repo is the right place and @cdrini does monitor that repo.
