Existing implementation

The current implementation of the InstructLab UI dashboard directs users to create a contribution. There’s no mention of verifying a topic does not already exist.

UX recommendation

• Add some text to the page header that guides the user to chat with the model prior to submitting a contribution.
• Add text to the empty state that guides the user to chat with the model first.
• Working with the content team on the final microcopy.

Content changes for Chat with a model:

Chat with a model

Chat with a language model that's hosted on your cloud. Choose a supported model from the model selector or configure your own custom endpoint using the Custom Model Endpoints feature.

Remove "Model Selector" since Select a model placeholder text appears in the dropdown.

Working on an empty state but still a WIP...

In chat area change to "Enter a question…"
