This repo produces a notebook-based interface to an EDR server, but what (if any) interface should we provide for the Python repl?

For example, do we:

present the contents of the interface selector elements alone?
present an interface to generate a plot based on selected options?
present an interface to request the data (also as a common Python data object such as an Iris cube / Xarray dataarray)?
simply say this won't be supported?
