Our package.json specifies cypress ^9.5.2, which yields the last release from 9.x, 9.7, in CI. Current Cypress release is 13.x. Evidence is anecdotal, but on most recent Cypress versions my local runs of e2e tests are significantly faster (multiple x) and more respectful of memory limitations.

Acceptance Criteria

  1. UI tests use current Cypress version.

This is related to this ticket. We need to test the new Cypress on Cloud2 UI with a newer image that is created from the Slim base image repo.
