For instance:

  • If a metric is a p-value, it should be between 0 and 1, and an unacceptable value would be something outside the range.
  • If the metric is a standard deviation, it cannot be a negative value.
  • A temperature in ºC cannot be below -273.15 , and a temperature in ºF cannot be below -459.67.
