This is an issue I will be using to organize my thoughts and plans for revenants, and to gather feedback.

The revenant antagonist has been half-baked for a while, never appearing as more than an annoyance to the crew. It's especially bizarre when you consider that ninjas have a 50/50 chance to summon a dragon instead of a revenant, which has a FAR more disruptive effect on the shift. I am basing most of these changes on the goonstation wraith.

Note: My classes have begun, so I may not get around to completing this for a while. If anyone wants to make changes to revenant code, feel free to ask me questions in the discord.

Implemented:

Planned:

  • Make salt lines placeable in a way similar to cables, and have running over them potentially break them
Other Planned Changes:

  • Animated barber's scissors will give random haircuts

i feel like this fits better as a comment here than as its own issue:
if a revenant is moving before using an ability, it keeps moving during the ability's use. this makes them incredibly hard to deal with if exploited. i've been both the victim and user of this and it's really evil & messed up & kinda mean

Oh, that must be how revenants are haunting rooms and somehow disappearing. That'd be a good thing to fix.
