Hello, thank you very much for your warm interest and support for the HackaTalk project over the years.

HackaTalk, which started in the dooboolab community in 2019, was a project aimed at conveying next-generation development methods to developers and spreading the open-source culture. By providing educational materials including chat app development using the then-hot topics React Native and GraphQL, as well as test codes and documentation, we helped developers quickly acquire practical skills in line with the changes in the IT industry.

In addition to offline meetups and online activities, HackaTalk was also carried out at open-source contribution events held domestically. We held an online meetup with the Prisma team and organized a WeHack hackathon to further develop the project.
Through this approach, HackaTalk helped React Native and Node.js developers build the skills necessary to develop apps and implement chat features in the field.

However, we have decided to conclude the app developed through this educational project. We would like to inform you that the HackaTalk iOS app and Android app will be terminated after May 16th, 2023. Although the project's past source codes will be preserved in an archived state, maintenance will no longer be conducted. Please note that starting from Apollo Server 4, projects must be configured with ESM, which means HackaTalk may not be a good boilerplate for future projects. However, it can still be used as a reference for projects involving GraphQL.

We deeply appreciate your interest and efforts during this time, and the dooboolab community plans to lead the community in a new direction from mid-2023. As we did with HackaTalk, we intend to explore ways to efficiently network and enjoy life while adopting new trends like ChatGPT in the industry.

Once again, from mid-2023, we will take our community to the next level through new self-development, challenges, and networking.
