It would be fanastic to configure an own Zanod node rather than spinning up another one on the same machine and wait until it got synchronized while the own fully synced node is waiting for connections...

Just like the Cake wallet on phones or the Monero Wallet on desktop. It wold also improve privacy even more.

a command line parameter which is passed through the appimage would also work, if thats faster

FOUND it!!
Starting the Appimage with parameter:
--remote-node arg Switch GUI to work with remote node instead of local daemon

I will leave this here for now as it might shorten the research for someone else a bit...

is there a list of remote nodes for zano like there is for monero , this zinc thing is a pain and i'm just testing out the ecosystem at this point
