Current Catalog code indexes AWS S3-compatible buckets or local file storage. It would be helpful to ensure other buckets can be indexed if they are not S3-compatible endpoints. This isn't just OIN related, but would enable the possibility for OAM to integrate and index non-OIN buckets.
