Some projects (mainly Kickstarter ones), claim that they are "open source based", which means that only the software used to control the robotic arm is open sourced, while manufacturing of the arm is closed source.
It would be nice to capture that information about each of the robotic arms in the list. Another nice data point would be if they are using custom software to drive the arm, or standardized solutions (are there even any?).
