I think a good component of this would be a pretty-printed Communication or other object in e.g. an iPython terminal. While I think a lot of the draw of concrete comes from the ready-made I/O and networking tools, I imagine a lot of people would look at those interfaces and think something like, "cool, but what's a communication?" And a little bit of low-level code or pseudo-code might help make the framework more.... concrete.

One version of this proposal could involve showing a diagram or illustration of a service method call with Python on one end and Java/JS on the other, with each end represented by code or pseudo-code (in the style of that language) representing the data being sent/received.
