i love the idea and the implementation of this plugin a lot. I think it would be an amazing addition if there would be an option to save and be able to filter by the start and endtime of each time entry. I know you have a lot to do and you did a great job already, so regard this as an quality of life idea for your consideration.
Best regards
Matthias

Hi @Seahawk240, if I get your suggestion correct you want to change the Redmine time_entry model. This not only involves adding columns to the database table, but also adding indices, adding visual data and also search model entries possibly to other related models. This is hard initially and unmaintainable on the long run, as each Redmine version changes the internal structure a bit. For some patches we would have to recreate large chunks of unrelated implementation, because Redmine was not created with these kinds of changes in mind.
Therefore we choose to create a seperate model hourglass_bookings. These are only created by us. So they will always have start and end time points properly initialized. We create regular Redmine time entries to be backward compatible with other tools. This worked very well for us so far.
What is different for your use case that you want us to change this setup?
