In the web version of draw.io, Theme (default, min, atlas, ..) and Appearance (light, dark) can be managed independently. For example, users can select “Min” with dark mode or “Atlas” with light mode.

However, in the vscode-drawio extension, it seems that appearance settings are not independently adjustable. Currently, the available options are either a combination of custom themes with light mode or default theme with dark mode. There is no way to mix and match themes with dark/light appearance freely.
