Thank you for your answer, that's really good news. I will take a look at the github discussions. I tried the gurk nukem sample project and it seems there is only some small changes necessary to make it working again. Also it seems to be a shooting game so the shooting part is not there yet. If I find out something I can also share it with the community of course, If I get the things working then I can use the liteengine to teach Java in school, I'm talking to a school already in munich and they are at least interested.

Hi all,
I want to use LiteEngine to teach Java for my son and maybe some other kids in school as well. I think it's a really great project for learning Java in school. I just wanted to know if it's still actively developed, I saw that the latest posts are from some time ago last year and I also had some problems in getting the examples working (I can post details in a different discussion).

Hey Bernie,
great to hear about your interest in LITIENGINE :)
The project is still actively developed, there just has been a prolonged period of inactivity at the beginning of 2022 due to me writing my master's thesis.
It also has to be noted that we are in the process of closing down this forum. The reason for this is that the forum has become a nightm4re to moderate and there are technical issues with our hosting provider preventing a software update. We are working on a smooth way of transferring the forum posts to GitHub discussions as a single source of truth right now.
The example games had been made with early alpha versions of the engine and some crucial parts of the API have changed since then. So our main focus for the next releases is documentation and providing examples.
However, you can rest assured that we always try to provide personal support and resolve individual issues.
In fact, you can use GitHub discussions right now, we have very active community members that don't use this forum at all and might be able to provide help ~~~~over on GitHub.
