As a n00b, I'd like some explanation on how to actually use a package.

I found a nice package and installed it with Package Control. But now I'm stuck. Where is it? I can't see it in any menu. I don't know how to interact with it. What am I meant to do?

We have a lot of info on advanced techniques. Please could the basic instructions be added.

Sounds like a good idea. This would also correlate with how package authors should interface with users, because unfortunately many of them forego additions to the command palette and instead add their commands to various menus and especially the context menu suffers from this after a while.

In general, there are plans to divide the docs into a guide and a reference section, where the first is for usage, tips and tricks and the latter describes most of the details we have currently or defers to the official docs where they are updated. It's just that nobody has had the time for this so far.
