• bottom seems to be affected by css selector (idk why every other selector aint workin)

regarding 2nd point: you probably use .field__item or similar to select the items in the main section. But there are actually many elements (also some in the footer) that have this generic CSS class. You can limit it to the main section by writing #main .field__item { } or .field--name-field-ag .field__item { }
