Please ask help only about carbon component here, if you want to to do so for Graphite, please use graphite-web repo
Hi,
I try to install carbon on Debian 12 with python 3.11. Graphite-web was installed successfully, but carbon won't work.

I'm somewhat confused that the error message refers to python 2.7

Strange, it should work. Maybe we should remove 2.7 from setup, though.
Try to run setup as python setup.py install --single-version-externally-managed --root=/

I checked the source code in setup.py.
