What happened:

We cannot query data in Explore tab and subsequently in Grafana Alert query. There must be some discrepancy in the query paths for Dashboards vs. Explore/alerts

What you expected to happen: Data being displayed in the explore page and subsequently in Grafana Alert query.

Check screenshots below-:

Environment:

  • Grafana version: v10.4
  • OpenSearch version: 2.13
  • Plugin version:2.17.2

Hi @sndhyv, thanks for reporting this!
We have implemented the openSearchBackendFlowEnabled feature toggle in 11.2 that unifies all querying flows - are you able to upgrade your Grafana version? Additionally, you will have to enable the feature toggle in your Grafana config: openSearchBackendFlowEnabled = true. Let us know if that helps!

Hi @sndhyv, taking another look at this. Can you paste both the queries you're sending, for dashboard and the explore? You can find them in Query Inspector -> Query -> Copy to Clipboard.
Also, does the result change if you send "*" vs an empty Lucene query string?
Thanks!
